| Week 10 |
Operation TransitOur battle is not a carnal one. It is against the powers of Satan. Which blind men's eyes to the truth thatcould set them free. The people working with Operation Transit are aware of this. They distribute packets of Christian material to North African Muslims in Europe as they wait to board ferries on their way home toNorth Africa. Such distribution is illegal and thus impossible in Morocco but may be done openly in European ports.
Getting these Muslims to accept the packets requires more than a friendly smile. Being caught withChristian materials in North Africa can mean severe punishment. But many accept them! One old man said that two years earlier his son received a packet, and now the entire family has put their faith in Jesus. A town in North Africa now has a church started by people who received Operation Transit packets.
In recent years, materials distribution has expanded and specialized to include packets in the languages of the larger minority people groups of Morocco. Last year, about 100 Middle Eastern Christians participated in hopes of learning more about how to reach their Muslim neighbors. Operation Transit is perhaps the most effective means of getting Christian print and audio/visual materials into the hands of Moroccans.
